Automatic backup
- Read how to change your phone or computer in anticipation of changing or losing your device.
Enable automatic backup to backup your Olvid profiles automatically when you change your profiles and contacts, and at least once a day, to iCloud, Google Drive or your cloud accessible via WebDAV.
- Make sure that you always have the latest version of Olvid.
- If you change OS (iOS <-> Android):
- Perform a manual backup because automatic backup will not work.
- Please, read the warnings about the backup.
How to start?
First, generate your backup key. Then…
iPhone iPad
- Tap > Backup settings .
- Enable Automatic iCloud backups.

.Android
- Tap > Backup settings.
- Tap Enable automatic backup.
- Select the Account on which you want to store your backups.
- Olvid requires access to Google Drive or your cloud accessible via WebDAV to perform backups:
- Tap Allow if your device asks for Olvid’s permission “to view and manage your own configuration data in Google Drive”.
- Confirm and tap Allow again.

- View the iCloud backups list and Delete old ones.
